Chile: Update on anarchist prisoner Natalia 'Tato' Collado
On August 15th anarchist prisoner Natalia 'Tato' Collado was transferred from the S.A.R (High Security Section - the isolation module) back to the 'Public Connotation' module where anarchist comrade Nataly Casanova is also held. Tato had been in the isolation module since July 27th as punishment for her rebellious and defiant stance against the prison guards.
At this stage Tato has not been able to share a cell again with Nataly however she is out of isolation now and back in a module where the conditions are a lot less suffocating and restrictive.
Let's not forget that the comrades Natalia and Maria Paz are still being held in the S.A.R., accused of the arson attack against a barracks of the Homicide Investigation Police.
Solidarity and insurgent affinity with the imprisoned comrades!

Chile: Update on the case against anarchist comrades Juan, Nataly & Enrique

On Sunday August 2, 2015 Prosecutor Raul Guzman and the miserable Claudio Orellana from the Southern District Attorney's office decided to orchestrate a new maneuver against the comrades Juan, Nataly and Enrique.
This time the pompous theatrics were centered on realizing a 'crime scene reconstruction' with the presence of diligent witnesses and 'victims' of the attack that took place on September 8, 2014 at the Subcentro outside Escuela Militar metro station in Santiago.
Neither Juan, Nataly or Enrique were present at the reconstruction but there were a large number of plaintiff attorneys accompanying 18 of the 22 victims. The Office of the Prosecutor sought to coach each of the victims regarding where they were positioned at the time of the explosion to ensure that all of their testimonies are consistent at the upcoming trial.
The performance lasted over 5 hours with prosecutors, lawyers, the police and the press all serenading the victims and offering threatening condemnations against the imprisoned comrades.
Finally, as the day was finishing, the opportunistic and mercenary Maria Elena Santibanez, a lawyer from the Legal Clinic who initiated the individual lawsuits against the comrades presented a new claim from a 'victim' who has now decided to be part of the lawsuits.
Juan, Nataly and Enrique to the streets!
Abolish the anti-terrorism act and abolish all laws of the police state!

Chile: Update on anarchist comrades Javier Pino & Natalia 'Tato' Collado
A hearing was held at the main courthouse in Santiago on July 28th against the anarchist comrades Javier Pino and Natalia 'Tato' Collado who are both accused of burning down a Transantiago bus.
Comrades in solidarity tried to enter the courtroom to support the comrades however the judge and the prosecution took offence at the disorderly nature and appearance of the solidaritarians and ordered that the hearing take place behind closed doors with only the presence of relatives permitted.
Outside the courthouse a rowdy solidarity demonstration ensued. Two banners were unfurled, leaflets were distributed and slogans were shouted through megaphones to let the comrades know they were not alone. The police and special security forces intervened and a fight broke out with the solidaritarians standing their ground refusing to bow down throwing kicks and punches and spitting at the authorities. The authorities resorted to using batons and capsicum spray. The clashes continued into the court building itself and ended with 6 comrades detained. Two women comrades were formally charged with public disorder offences and cited to appear at the local police courts and the other four comrades were taken to the number 12 police station in Santiago for 'routine' identity checks. All the comrades were released in the afternoon.
As for the hearing...Tato and Javier were formally charged under article 14-D for 'detonating an incendiary device on public transport' which comes under the Arms Control Law. Such crimes have sentences ranging between 10 and 15 years. The investigation period was re-opened as the defense have new measures to deal with at the moment with no fixed days to investigate.
Active solidarity with all comrades in the anti-prison network!
Strength to the comrades Tato and Javier, No aggression will go unanswered!

Comrade Natalia 'Tato' Collado transferred to isolation module
We have been informed that the comrade Tato was transferred after a visit on July 27 from her module, apparently as a mean to punish her for her attitude of disrespect and contempt for the prison institution and it's circus officials and for her relationship of affinity and comradeship with comrade Nataly with who she had been shaking the walls and the morale of the jailers. Currently comrade Tato is being held indefinitely in punishment and isolation Module 1.
We also inform you that on July 28 a judge ordered that only close relatives were allowed to attend the hearing to determine how long the kidnapping of our comrades continued. Obviously this measure ignited the anger of non-family comrades and led to clashes with gendarmes and police.
We will not allow provocations and aggressions to go unanswered!
We will not let the whims of judges, prosecutors and prison guards determine the lives of our comrades!
Down with the patriarchal, techno-industrial and anthropocentric prison society!
Tato and Javi to the street or wherever they want!

Puerto Montt, Chile: FREEDOM IS ALSO FORGED IN THE ATTACK!
Insurrection News received and translated:
As one more way to reach out to the dignified companions captured for different offensive actions against the Dominion, it's structures and defenders; and also as a way to break the monotony of the grey citizen city-prison, on Tuesday June 29 we hung a banner from Petorca bridge in Puerto Montt, Chile which said:
Complicity with anarchist and nihilist prisoners
FREEDOM IS ALSO FORGED IN THE ATTACK
Tamara - Juan - Naty - Guillermo - Tato - Javier - Monica - Francisco
To them and to all the other comrades imprisoned in recent times by the bloodthirsty Chilean state and in particular, the comrade Sergio Alvarez (Who is dignified and publicly rejects any victimhood stance) we send an anarchic hug!
Strength and solidarity to you, your friends and your loved ones!
"I am neither somebody who fights for improvement or reform to make existence bearable in this system nor will it claim me as a student or a worker. I am an anarchic individual." - Sergio Alvarez

Chile: Update on the case of the comrades Javier Pino and Natalia Collado
Now that the investigative period is over and we await the hearing date for Javier Pinto and Natalia Collado, as a close group of friends we wanted to inform and disclose how our comrades were accused of burning a Transantiago bus three months ago and were taken from us.
THE FACTS
In the early morning of April 7, at the corner of Ecuador and Concon, located in the community of Estación Central, the darkness was interrupted with the scene of a burning route 210 Transantiago bus that was completely consumed by fire.
Minutes later Natalia Collado (Tato) and Javier Pino were arrested in Alameda, outside USACH (University of Santiago Chile) and detained on suspicion as their appearance allegedly coincided with descriptions given to the police by the bus driver who reported the fire.
The comrades were taken to Central Police Station 21 where they were told that the bus driver recognized them as two people who boarded the bus without paying at the corner of Alameda and Cumming and left a bag in the back seat before exiting from the rear door of the bus. Tato and Javier were then transferred to the BIPE (Police Brigade of Special Investigations) where they both had DNA samples forcibly taken from them. By now relatives, close friends and comrades who had heard about the arrest began to demonstrate out the front in solidarity with both comrades. Also as usual, the press began to appear in order to caputre the faces of our comrades for the television cameras. The following morning as they were taken to court Javier yelled at the press "Down with anthropocentric patriarchal society!"
The court extended the detention of the comrades for three days so that the police could gather more evidence. At the hearing held three days later, the bus driver's statement was presented as the main piece of evidence. The prosecution also stated that the possibility of an electrical failure in the bus accelerator causing the fire had been ruled out. The judge then formalized the charge of placing an incendiary device on public transport which comes under the arms control laws. The prosecution applied for a 90 day investigative period during which the comrades would be kept in custody and the judge allowed this saying that there were no concrete reasons to reject the application.
Javier was taken to module 11 at Santiago Prison Number 1 while Tato was transferred to the women's prison of San Miguel where she remained in isolation for several days before being transferred to the public connotation module (general population).
Natalia Collado and Javier Pino
From the beginning Tato and Javier openly expressed their view of life as a daily confrontation with the system that is imposed by civilization and openly defended the feelings that emerge from the heart when you decide to break the social monotony.
They refuse to claim a position of either guilt or innocence of the charges, choosing instead to use their lives as a praxis of comtempt and deconstruction of social logic, assuming that we live in a patriarchal, antropocentric, authoritarian and speciest world that looks with scorn upon all those who believe that life is something much more than cement.
There are those with a deep love of nature who dare to build new forms of social relationships and who constantly question the moral values learned from childhood even if it results in more failures than successes. Because every decision that on the surface seems harmless such as dietary choice, empathizing with the land and the various beings that inhabit it, the daily respect for the environment, the difficult deconstruction of patriarchy from the depths of relationships, choosing not to go to a hospital, living a self-managed life, finding new ways of learning - to name just a few things, can make it practically impossible to passively coexist with the dominant social order.
This is why their hearts are still beating with the pulse of untamed nature despite being locked behind the cold prison walls. From the beginning of their ordeal they have remained steadfast but without underestimating the impact of imprisonment. It is also important to note that the comrades are in two very different prison contexts.
For Javier the food situation has been difficult as before his arrest he was eating only raw, unrefined food. In Santiago Prison Number 1 this diet cannot be obtained even if you are vegan so one is forced by necessity to eat certain foods. Javier has also kept his long hair despite constant harassment from the gendarmes. It is also important to note that Javier has been unable to access 'recreational' activities such as playing ball. He has been able to use wood carving materials however it took a long time for these materials to reach him in the module due to all of the formalities involved.
Tato has been able to access more of a variety of prepared foods. At first she was sharing a cell with the comrade Tamara Farias Sol Vergara but Tamara was transferred and she is now sharing a cell with Nataly Casanova. Prison conditions in San Miguel Women's Prison are different to Santiago Prison and she has been able to receive craft and drawing materials as well as a variety of books and magazines.
These have been difficult months during the investigative period and the monotony of prison life make the time seem to pass even slower. During their detention Javier and Tato have expressed their feelings through public statements and have stood in solidarity with other imprisoned comrades by fasting or releasing statements. They have had to face the nightmare of imprisonment head on but have emerged with new questions, thoughts and feelings that have reaffirmed their beliefs.
After more than two months since their arrest they have been allowed one inter-prison visit with each other. This can be permitted once a month according to a behavior assessment determined by the gendarmerie.
Legal Status
On Friday June 26 a hearing was held and a new public defender was assigned who announced that the comrades were refusing to cooperate with the official investigation.
As a result of the hearing, Javier was given permission to regularly receive dried fruits and nutritional supplements. In addition, the comrades were granted a five minute visit with their new lawyer in the court cells after the hearing. And finally Javier allowed a doctor to check on his cracked rib which he had been nursing for two months because he was not willing to receive any assistance.
After close to two months in custody, Tato and Javier gained access to the investigative folder that contains the evidence to be presented against them. The bus driver's statement is still the only piece of evidence against them.
Despite the legal situation and the constant friction with lawyers both comrades are calmly waiting to be given the date for their next hearing.
Although their daily dealings with the gendarmerie have been hostile from the beginning, Tato and Javier have remained steadfast with the support of their loved ones. At first they were closely monitored and classified as prisoners who posed a risk of escaping but these conditions have now been eased. Even so, co-existance with the cops will always be difficult since neither comrade is prepared to resign or bow down to ill-treatment.
From outside we support our comrades with hearts full of love and the certainty that the howl of the pack crosses any wall. Therefore we remain complicit in affinity and solidarity with Javier Pino and Natalia Collado. By strengthening ties, through constant growth and learning with our comrades with more force so that every gesture of affection is a little heat to reach their hearts this winter.
As we wait for the next hearing date we send all our love to our comrades.
JAVIER AND TATO TO THE STREETS!!
Group of comrades and friends.

The comrades from Coordinadora Anticarcelaria La Fuga have reported that anarchist prisoner Nataly Casanova had to appear at a court hearing on June 25 where she was punished for the hunger strike she took part in from April 14-June 7 with the comrades Juan Flores, Guillermo Durán and Enrique Guzmán. Her punishment for taking part in the hunger strike was to be denied visits for a period of two days. A court hearing has still not been set for Juan Flores to receive punishment. Coordinadora Anticarcelaria La Fuga also report that Guillermo Durán is now under house arrest while Enrique Guzmán still remains in Santiago prison after having his house arrest revoked on June 9.

Chile: Communique about the end of the hunger strike from Nataly, Juan & Guillermo
To our brothers, comrades, relatives, loved ones and people in solidarity with us, to the public.
In 54/53 (Nataly / Juan, Guillermo) days from the beginning of our hunger strike, on Friday, June 5, we end our mobilization, which was a response to the repressive maneuvers power unleashed this time against us, against our emotional and solidarity environment. We decided to stand on our feet and to publicize our situation, without letting the designs of power to realized, which through legal/police/media/ suppressive tricks seeks to perpetuate isolation, silence and absolute submission. We decided to mobilize through a joint decision, a horizontal agreement, far from levels and hierarchies, which the lovers of power and the law seek to replicate in each and every group of people. It is the most dignified way of being in this world of bowed heads and prizes for any kind of boss.
The primary objective of this hunger strike was the release of our comrade Enrique Guzman Amadeo and also to remove Nataly from the paranoid isolation imposed on her since the first day of her kidnapping/detention/hunt.
Also, we added more points, the end of the harassment and of the attacks against the people closest to us and in solidarity with us, in the face of the hunt and persecution unleashed by the power against our loved ones and the those in affinity with us. An example of this was Enrique’s detention, who from the first moment and with nothing to hide, approached us to help us with our imprisonment/captivity, to materialize solidarity and revolutionary love that is opposed to fear and isolation , which authority aims to diffuse and to impose through its suppressive practice.
Also, the clarification of the scientific validity of DNA tests presented by the prosecution, whose examination by the defense hasn’t started yet after seven months, something which the implementation of legal procedures within the application of the counter-terrorism legislation is responsible for, as it delays the work of the defense as mush as it can, in order to give prosecutors a head start. It is clear that public defense is an organization that obeys the central government. We understand that passivity and its frequent complicity with the prosecution in these bureaucratic issues is dictated from above.
We also demanded the end of the attacks made against us by the prison guards/mercenaries of power in Santiago 1 and San Miguel prisons, who invaded and forcibly searched our cells and have made complaints about alleged death threats, something we have denied from the first moment, since we would not have any problems recognizing them, but they just didn’t happen!!! Similarly, they punish us. We recognize that the guards have absolute impunity and the complicity of both their institution and prosecutors and authority in general. All prisoners are in the same situation in the face of this confinement situation, this continuing hostility from the exercise of power and the resistance we create as dignified beings. Due to our punishments (Juan and Nataly), they have have blocked access to transport between the two prisons and sexual intercourse, which we could only realize once last November. Therefore, we demanded to reinstate our right to transfer between prisons which was banned due to the whims and tantrums of prosecutors, plaintiffs, prison guards, all with police minds.
We also tried to amend the restrictive condition that keeps Guillermo locked up his house 24 hours a day, which for seven months, without any proof, keeps him incarcerated because of the whims and the fascist/police mentality of prosecutors and plaintiffs, the representatives of power and the prison system.
Some of these demands have been met by judicial decisions. We consider that these were pressed by our strike, we believe that they were victories of the strike/mobilization that we did, although courts, prosecutors, plaintiffs, prison, even those of the defense completely deny the usefulness of such fights to exert pressure. We also know that their minds and bodies, common in obedience of to the legal and moral order enforced, will always refuse any kind of mobilization that would risk their own skin, health or work place, we know that fear/subjugation for/to retaliation is so integrated and incarnated in their the logic and sense, that they will always be unwilling to take a solitary position on this type of actions. We are not interested in whether this derives from fear or complicity with power, we will continue with our own way until the end of our days, since we feel satisfaction when we face power in these circumstances, where the vast majority is subjugated and allowed to be intimidated by the dominance of silence and passivity/apathy.
On the afternoon of May 29, Nataly was transferred to wing 2 and now after months in solitary confinement she/I is/am able to be with the captives of the wing of “public importance” with whom she/I would like to be a long time ago so that she/I could have spent her/my days with Tamara and Tato, but the correctional institution did not leave their comrades get together because of the alleged risk that they/we would have caused if they/we were together. We believe these are merely excuses for the political machinations behind these decisions, which appear in the decision for the comrade Sol Malen to be transferred without notice and by using deceit. These are situations created by deceit, hostility, fear, isolation, subjugation, things we will always reject as self-determined beings and refractory against dominion, since we consider their development an act of war and we declare ourselves to be opponents of this reality.
On Friday, June 5, we heard with joy that Enrique has been moved in full house arrest. We are pleased to know that our comrade will be able to enjoy the company of his love, that he can receive visits from our families and those in affinity with us. We would like for him to be able to go outside the house to perform his activities but this is not the case. We hope for this possibility to be considered in the future, after the appeal of the prosecution and the plaintiffs is rejected. Surely the clowns Orellana, Guzman and their friends were left disappointed with the charges they maintain and keep us in prison. Their case collapses, DNA evidence is as phony as their good intentions, as proved by the expert presented by the legal defense of Enrique, who completely shot down the scientific validity of the study presented by the prosecuting dogs and thus the basic evidence that link us to the bombings has collapsed. We are pleased to know that this legal hit will be very difficult to be reversed against us in this process, as well as for the fact that it will prove that our brother was arrested and charged only for the fact that he stood in solidarity and insubordination in the face of the politics of fear .
These two events marked the decision to end our hunger strike, knowing that the rest of demands are on the road of solving. The valuations have been approved by the public criminal mediation, our visit between the two prisons (Juan and Nataly) will be demanded after the punishment they imposed on us about the hunger strike (one month without visits) and Guillermo’s restrictive condition will be reviewed within this month. We believe that this mobilization has given these results, the acceleration of procedures of defense/response against the accusation of the prosecution and the thrust of repression their system unleashed. We know that it is difficult to achieve the stoppage of harassment and prosecutions against us and the family, relatives and those in affinity, this is a reality that has always existed, authority seeks the isolation and subjugation of prisoners under the power of boots and missiles, from hungry dogs of authority/domination, families and their environment in solidarity, because they transform love into endless acts of solidarity and support. It gives us immense happiness and pleasure to face this reality and that so many people became brothers in this battle.
We decently replied against our enemies’ attacks in the way we believed to be necessary and relevant, here, between so many walls with barbed wire and guarded by their henchmen, we confirm our abhorrence towards prison, punishment, authority and every form of domination, putting our body in front and using strength and will as weapons. Those days were long, but have given us much strength, knowing that we always can reply and never fall to immobility, as those who captured us wish.
We thank every gesture and action of support that lifted our struggle, they were caresses and smiles in the days of our fasting, all those that got involved with every demonstration, gathering, diffusion and specific support towards us, they are gestures which reconstituted forces and fed even more beliefs, such as solidarity with all the prisoners who declared themselves enemies of authority. We want to thank all organizations and individuals that took action in solidarity and in an anti-authoritarian, revolutionary and anti-systemic way. A fraternal hug to comradely libraries Sante Jerónimo Castello, Sacco y Vanzetti, Luis Armando Triviño, to the comrades of “Against prison – Flight of Justice” group, the “Coordination against prisons – Escape”, the group “81 Reasons”, the popular media and means of counter-information, Refrectarion edition, the popular radio “1st of May”, Enrique Torres, Villa Francia, the “Antiauthoritarian Athletic League”, the “Idea” edition, the comrades of “Revolutionary Fight” group, the brothers of Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras (Neither Flags nor Borders), the comrades of various squats, autonomous/social places that took actions all over the world, in every collective and individual initiative and supported us through polymorphous action which aimed to continue the constant conflict with every authority and dominion.
We send our fraternal hugs and love to all the comrades imprisoned by the state of Chile or every other state of this world. To the comrades of CAS, Marcelo Villaroel, Freddy Fuentevilla, Juan Aliste Vega, Carlos Gutiérrez Quiduleo, Hans Niemeyer, Alejandro Astorga and Alfredo Canales, who went on a hunger strike in solidarity with us between 17 and 22 of May, to comrade Javier Pino who also went on a hunger strike on April, 28th and did many solidarity gestures for us, comrades Tamara Sol Vergara and Natalia Collado who also went on a hunger strike between 10 and 17 of May in solidarity. We send a complicit hug to comrade Sol Malen, recognizing her dignified resistance against the trap organized by CDP San Miguel correctional officers who fraudulently and without a warning transferred her, not allowing her to say goodbye to the comrades with whom she became sisters. Strength and struggle against the new imprisonment conditions and the bastard confirmation of conviction by the bourgeois justice, we become brothers with your position and sharpness against reality.
Love and struggle for the comrades all around the world who responded to the solidarity call, the brothers and sister of imprisoned members cell of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire that hugged us with their insurrectionary greetings that goes through every mental and physical wall, comrades in Greece and Australia that diffused the battle and our situation. To every brother of this world, of this time, the past and the time that shall follow, who has stood in front of authority to fight for liberation, to those forever unchanged who will always be thought and felt with a smile on our face, an idea on our mind and affection in our heart.
To all comrades that raise to fight and act polymorphously against domination, to all those seeking to liberate themselves from authority in their lives and the reality in which they live, to all those to rush towards liberation. A hug to every comrade who took action in solidarity with us and for his own beliefs. To all those who arm solidarity as the most beautiful gun we have in hand to diffuse our ideas, such as the one of polymorphous action.
Greetings and complicity with Mónica Caballero and Francisco Solar and with the comrades being held for operations Pandora and Piñata. Complicity with all the comrades who stand in solidarity since the first day of this repression’s burst.
To all prisoners inside authority’s prisons around the world, to all the fallen ones in the struggle, they are dead only physically. The insurrectionary memory always remembers them; the only dead is the forgotten one. Every dead of the war, every life willing to live or die freely is an eternal call for liberation against every form of domination, a call towards continuous struggle until we reach freedom.
Through this text we unite ourselves with the June call for Earth and against Capital, an initiative that tries to diffuse the ideas and action for earth liberation and the liberation of all creatures living under the destructive and exploitative dominion of capitalism, supported by all states, which only perpetuates and normalizes the condition of slavery imposed on us for centuries. We also unite ourselves with the boycott and sabotage initiative against the media/athletic event of Copa América. We recant the bourgeois culture and its athletic competitions which try to develop patriotism, social sleep and simultaneously the pocket of all these who enrich themselves through soccer business and all conditions which accompany this carnival of oblivion and stupidity.
Love and strength to our families that continue to unconditionally support us.
To all comrades, known and unknown, who get involved with every initiative of struggle against authority.
Against the silence and indifference of prison society, no forgiveness, no oblivion, just fight!

Chile: Enrique Guzman sent back to prison
On June 5th 2015, the comrades Nataly Casanova, Juan Flores and Guillermo Durán ended their hunger strike, which they had conducted from April 13th/14th, judging that the most important of their demands have been met.
You may read their latest letter, in Spanish, here.
Today, however, it became known that their comrade and close friend Enrique Guzmán is being sent back to prison.
During the morning of June 10th, the competent court of San Miguel ruled in favor of prosecutor Orellana, who revoked the total house arrest for Enrique and demanded he be once again sent to pretrial detention. When we received the news, the comrade was still at his home waiting for the court to order the cops and the Investigations Police (PDI) to go looking for him in order to return him to prison.

Chile: Update on the hunger strike of anarchist prisoners Nataly, Juan & Guillermo
The hunger strike of the anarchist prisoners Nataly Casanova, Juan Flores and Guillermo Duran who are held hostage by the Chilean state is in it's 54th day at the time of this writing. Here is a brief update on the latest developments...
Nataly Casanova transferred out of isolation
During the last days of May, comrade Nataly Casanova was removed from the extreme isolation in which she was kept, being moved to the 2nd “public connotation” wing in the prison of San Miguel.
Comrade Tamara Sol was also held in that wing until she was transferred to the extermination center of San Joaquin a few days ago. Now, Nataly is in the same wing with comrade Natalia Collado (Tato).
We understand this move as part of the progress in the fight led by comrades on hunger striker and their family and comrades from outside prison. It is a victory concerning the requests demanded from inside prison and a motivation to understand that by opening paths with struggle, the prison administration is forced to back away from the impunity that characterizes them.
Eternal affection in revolt to Nataly and the new paths that are open to share with more prisoners.
A victory for the comrades on hunger strike !

Compa Enrique Guzmán leaves prison
At almost two months into the liquid hunger strike of compañerxs Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova, and Guillermo Durán, today [June 5th] one of the most important demands was achieved: compañero Enrique Gúzman was moved from prison to full house arrest. While it is a great step, we remain alert for the appeal that the prosecution will surely present in an attempt to return the compañero to prison, insisting on the logic of repressing the ties of comradeship and friendship as has been their behavior from the beginning.
After more than 8 months of investigation and constant harassment and hostility toward them, their families and close circles, today the compañerxs are smiling again because one of their brothers has at least managed to depart from the walls that wanted to enclose his uncontrollable solidarity.
The call is to remain alert to the decisions that will come from the compañerxs in the coming days.
Because neither their walls nor their cages will be able to put an end to the struggle for total liberation!
Because whoever forgets the comrades sequestered in the prisons of kapital forgets the war itself!
Solidarity and action with Juan, Nataly, Guillermo and Enrike!

Chile: Update on the anarchist comrades on hunger strike since April 14
On Friday 15, May, anarchist comrades Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova and Guillermo Duran are on the 32nd day of their hunger strike, demanding:
– the release of comrade Enrique Guzmán
– the immediate transfer of compañera Nataly Casanova from solitary confinement to a wing/tower where she will be able to have contact/relationship with other inmates and more hours in the yard.
– the end of the harassment of their close environment
– the end of assaults and disciplinary sanctions towards Juan and Nataly
–end of DNA-based prosecutions.
Comrade Enrique Guzman stopped hunger strike in the second week because of physical problems.
The judicial court denies to satisfy the comrades’ demands.
While the comrades’ closer people are trying some legal diligences seeking for the satisfaction of their demands, solidarian comrades in the outside have made demonstrations and incendiaries actions on streets and outside prisons where comrades are arrested.
Comrades’ health is not well. For example, Juan started with 61kl. and he was on 54kl, ten days ago. Guillermo started hunger strike on April 14 weighing 91 kl. (Approx.), on May 9 he was weighing 83 kl. Comrade Nataly is under 50 kl.
Here we have some words from comrades Juan, Enrique and Guillermo:
Words from comrade Juan Flores:
“Well!!! As I had already said on previous occasions … this is our response to all the barbarity and bastard police maneuvers that Power unleashed against us; from that September 18, 2014, Power has continued haunting us to perpetuate fear between our closest ones, with the intention of letting us into oblivion. Clearly, their attempts have been in vain. Solidarity is latent and far from police / court / State terror.
On the 26th day of hunger strike, we have walked hand in hand with each gesture of solidarity, turning into practice all our conviction by the unconditional breath of our comrades, friends, relatives and the support between ourselves. Words of encouragement, love and strength that we daily receive, strengthening us and extending our decision.
Juan Flores
1st wing, Santiago 1 Prison,
Santiago, Chile.
Words from comrade Enrique Guzman:
On my 10th day of hunger strike I decided to end it in order to maintain mental clarity and cope as best I could, with the ordeal of confinement, of my closure and the closure of my friends.
But I would like to make clear, to the clowns Raul Guzman and Orellana (prosecutors), this does not mean they have served their purpose, but quite the opposite. Now more than ever I declare as their enemy, which is the main reason the police had to arrest me too. However, it doesn’t means that I assume responsibility for acts for which I am accused.
I and my brothers have declared their enemies, and that is why we are enclosed; but they never have succeeded in silence us. Neither the walls nor its bastard guards have been enough to silence the shouts of insurrection. We will certainly impede the normal operation of the existing, because it bothers us, because we understand that arrests like ours, seeks to perpetuate their dominance over slaves’ society, because we know that terrorists are only the State and the businessmen, and with cases like ours they want to spread “terror” in those that are in the limbo between conformity or attack, passivity or action.
That’s why I decided to report the facts that I live, to our environment which is today harassed by the police, to not be intimidated, (…) [spreading] confrontations with the power like volcanoes, and reminding us that chaos is unavoidable (…) Health, love and strength to my brothers that continue the hunger strike to get our demands.

Santiago, Chile.
Words from comrade Guillermo Duran:
I would like writing about my health condition in this hunger strike that we started on April 14th (…) We maintain the decision to continue the strike and radicalize it if our demands are not heard, accepted and resolved.
I also thank to all the gestures and solidarity actions carried out in the streets and prisons, demonstrations and meetings, fight and scattering with no mesure by individuals and active, conscious and militant organizations. I give thanks for the words of support from different brothers/sisters, from this land as more distant, messages of love and war expressed for minds and hearts free from the dominion of fear. I have no more to do that to correspond all of this, sending strength and affection for imprisoned brothers/sisters in the dungeons of Chile, Brazil, Greece, Spain, Czech Rep., Italy, Mexico, and all around the world where the control and domination of the states exists, as well as brothers/sisters fighting against this reality, in the ways they deemed necessary.
About my health situation, I am in good condition, some discomfort such as dizziness, muscle, abdominal and head aches that have been subsiding with rest and taking replenishers concoctions (it made me quite difficult to consume only water, so I decided take herbal water with honey and sugar, oat milk and fruit juices).
(…) So, for now, affection and strength to everybody who fight against domain. Love and strength for my comrades Juan, Naty (Nataly) and Weso (Enrique).
Guillermo Duran

Santiago, Chile: Incendiary solidarity and memorial action outside UACH

"It is time to act in everyday life for the destruction of the prison society and against any social attempt to reform this disgusting system of death. Solidarity should never be an empty slogan, but a daily action of confrontation with power and constant support for imprisoned combatants in this war to the death." - Mauricio Morales
At noon on Wednesday, May 13 anarchist comrades lit up barricades outside UACH (Austral University of Chile) and distributed propaganda in solidarity with the demands of the comrades Juan, Nataly and Guillermo, on hunger strike since April 14th and in combative memory of fallen anarchist comrade Mauricio Morales who died in 2009 when an explosive device he was carrying on the way to the prison warden's school in Santiago detonated prematurely. Upon arrival of the police fierce clashes erupted with molotov cocktails and rocks thrown at the uniformed scum. The photos above were taken at the end of the fighting.
A full Spanish-language communique of the action is available on the Contra Info website here.

Chile: Bomb threat against the offices of TVN for Nicolás Neira & the comrades on hunger strike
An anarchist direct action cell calling itself Nicolás Neira Forces of Action and Memory have issued a communique claiming responsibility for a bomb threat against the offices of TVN (Television National) in Santiago, Chile. A call was made on Wednesday, May 6th to warn of the presence of an explosive device at the offices of TVN that had been placed in solidarity with the anarchist prisoners Nataly, Juan and Guillermo who have been on hunger strike since April 14th.
The action was also claimed in response to the call for international solidarity actions to be carried out in combative memory of anarchist comrade Nicolás Neira who was murdered by the Colombian police in Bogota in 2005.
Nicolás Neira Forces of Action and Memory condemned the police and the media for not making the threat known to the public and warned them to think twice about ignoring their next call as next time the threat might be real.
Long live Nico! Victory to the comrades on hunger strike in the dungeons of Chile!

"Better To Be A Demon Of Vengeance Than An Angel Of Forgiveness" - Conspiracy of Cells of Fire (Greece)
A signal of complicity from the Greek prisons, for the international call of solidarity made from Publicacion Refractario, Colectivo Lucha Revolucionaria (Revolutionary Struggle Collective) and Sin Banderas Ni Fronteras, to our brothers and sister Nataly Casanova, Juan Flores, Guillermo Durán and Enrique Guzmán, who are imprisoned in Chile, accused for attacks made by the International Conspiracy of Revenge and the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, Chile.
Nothing is uglier than ugliness repeated twice.
Chile: anarchist Enrique Guzmán is arrested and detained.
The reason: the police say that traces of his DNA were found at a distance from a target where a bomb was placed, which is included in the case for which our brothers and sister Juan Flores, Nataly Casanova, Guillermo Durán were arrested, 6 months ago.
The real reason: Guzmán was a friend of the three imprisoned comrades, who did not abandon them for a moment in the difficult conditions of captivity. He was the friend who despised police looks and checks and visited them often in prison. He was the friend who, with his communication, canceled their exile and loneliness, in the land of the locked up people.
He is the friend who proves that real friends do not flinch, but share both the laughter of joys and the steep hills of sorrows…
The battle, however, is uneven. Anyone who does not comply or does not discipline himself within the limits of the permissible morality of the silent people who bow their heads, is driven to the place of exile, in the cold prison cells.
Nataly, Juan and Guillermo refuse to accept fear. They deny the fear of the emotional blackmail of power, which leads their friend in the belly of the beast of prison. They decided to act. Because, when we do not die for each other, we are already dead. From the first moment they begin a hunger strike, whose main demand was the immediate release of Enrique Guzmán but also the lifting of the isolation measures of Nataly, the stopping of the harassment of cops against their relatives and the review the validity of the DNA process.
Twenty days later, authority is testing their strength, as it seems tenacious. The ugliness is reflected in carbon, making repression montage from Greece to Chile. In Greece, some time ago, power has tested its revenge on us in the same way. It detained the mother of two comrades of the CCF and the girlfriend of one, for the caseof our attempt to escape from prison. If they can not conquer your thought, then they aim at your heart. They want to domesticate you and turn you into an obedient pet.
Prisons are the zoos for people. Even the sky is covered by barbed wire. Over time, the zoo prison, becomes the home for most. But there are those who do not fit in a cell. They are those who didn’t put the wolf inside them to sleep. They are those who feed him every day with rage, anger, revenge, walls, irons, locks, those who grow him big with fury and conscience to seek breaths of freedom…
Nataly, Juan, Guillermo and Enrique are our brothers without sharing the same blood with us.
We share, however, the same desires, same anxiety, same anger for the bastards that wear uniforms, memorized the laws and locked our lives and our friends.
The taste of hatred for the society of judges, cops and their subordinates dries in our mouth like poison.
It’s the taste of helplessness that prison triggers. It’s the anger and outrage for all those you plan but are unable to materialize, as you are surrounded by bars, cameras, guards.
All is left are words… Words of solidarity and strength to Nataly, Juan, Guillermo and Enrique.
But Brothers, do not worry… These words do not resonate in the void. They forge inside us the internal anarchist attack and sear it with an indelible mark on the soul. We know that there are wolves ready to hunt the humans of law and order everywhere. There are our brothers, Alfredo and Nicola in the Italian prisons, there are dozens of FAI cells all over the world, ready to set the nights on fire and make them sparkle in the colors of fire, there are anarchists of praxis and nihilist comrades of new anarchy who weave the conspiracy of the Black International everywhere.
No more unfinished words, half actions, half thoughts… It’s better to be a demon of vengeance than an angel of forgiveness. We wholeheartedly embrace the dark abyss of war to burn the idols of law and order, in the flames of chaos and anarchy.
“We feel like hitting our heads against irons. Many heads will break… But, in the end, the irons will bend”
SOLIDARITY – STRENGTH – COMPLICITY WITH OUR BROTHERS NATALY CASANOVA, JUAN FLORES, GUILLERMO DURAN, ENRIQUE GUZMAN
