Thessaloniki, Greece: ATMs sabotaged in solidarity with Evi Statiri
On September 14th, 2015, Evi Statiri began a hunger strike against fear and injustice, demanding an end to her vindictive imprisonment. The SYRIZA government in another attempt to diffuse the situation freed the hunger striker with harsh, restrictive measures:
Prohibited from leaving the territory of the Greek state, report to the local police station 3 times a month, a prohibition on meeting or communicating with the co-accused in the same date including her partner Gerasimos Tsakolos, compulsory residence at her home in the Gyzi neighborhood and limited to movement within a one kilometer radius of her house.
Nobody can play with the lives of our comrades and their families. Retaliation by the state against the urban guerrilla prisoners will not go unanswered.
On October 6th, as a minimum response to the restrictive measures imposed against Evi Statiri, we attacked and trashed 2 ATMs located in front of the University of Macedonia.
IMMEDIATE LIFTING OF THE RESTRICTIVE MEASURES AGAINST EVI STATIRI
SOLIDARITY AND STRENGTH TO THE IMPRISONED COMRADES AND THEIR FAMILIES
