Several members of the Egyptian Revolutionary Communist Party who were arrested and detained following May Day demonstrations have had their detention extended by the Ministry of the Interior (MOI). The regular police were preparing to release the comrades when the MOI intervened extending their detention for four days at first and then for another fourteen days.
